All along Orihuela Costa there are beaches, coves and yacht clubs – such as Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig and Dehesa de Campoamor, where you can practice all kinds of water sports all year round.
15 minutes south of Orihuela Costa is Mar Menor, European mainland’s largest salt-water lagoon (170 km2). In Mar Menor the water temperature never falls below 18 C and is calm practically all year round. where small boat sailing and kite-surfing are all year round activities.
Even skiing is possible within a comfortable 3-hour-drive on the excellent motorway system to Granada city and the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains, an added bonus for ski enthusiasts, completing a total sporting package to delight every member of the family.
